Chai Hu, 柴胡 (Bupleurum Root) is bitter, pungent and cool in nature. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this herb harmonizes the exterior and interior; spreads liver qi and relieves stagnation; disperses wind-heat and resolves phlegm and congestion.

Dang Gui

Dang Gui, 当归 (Chinese Angelica Root) is sweet, pungent, bitter and warm in nature. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this herb supplements the blood and regulates menstruation, invigorates the blood, moistens the intestines, and relieves swelling.

Bai Shao

Bai Shao, 白芍 (White Peony Root) is bitter, sour and cool in nature. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this herb supplements the blood and regulates menstruation, calms the liver yang and stops pain and spasms, benefits the yin and harmonizes the Ying and Wei.

Fu Ling

Fu Ling, 茯苓 (Poria) is sweet, bland and neutral in nature. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this herb boosts the spleen, harmonizes the stomach and transforms phlegm; quiets the heart and calms the spirit.
